VISION
A comprehensive 6 months course enabling a student to become a full fledged scriptwriter in any form in the visual medium. The course is rigorous and attempts to create a writer with strong grounding with the knowledge of narrative styles and traditions.
Key Highlights
- Screenwriting course covers various genres of writing, namely creative, content development, research, writing for short films, television, screenplay writing, narrative structure, etc.
- Students will be taught the nuances of breaking down the story and script and the art of storytelling.
- The program covers screenwriting from case studies.
Eligibility
- The medium of instruction of the RSACE Screenplay writing course will be English and hence candidates seeking admission are expected to have English as a compulsory subject at least up to Xth.
- Candidate should have a minimum of 45% marks in his/her 10th standard or equivalent.
Course Outline
Months course comprises of 24 weeks.
Students study and analyze films, screenplays and other relevant texts to further deepen their knowledge of the form.
The course rigorously inculcates the habit of writing which is imperative for a screenplay writer..
The Course is designed to teach the students the basics of screenplay writing and the Importance of storytelling in filmmaking. Also they will explore different writing styles and techniques and gain hands-on exercises to enhance their writing skills. The students learn how to write for a film and their Project is to write a short film.
After competition of the 6 months course the Students will be awarded a Certificate in Screenplay Writing respectively.
